Zip & Boo:

These two are my lovable Ragdoll mix kitties who are 8 years old. We refer to Zip (on the left) as "the fast moving speed bump." He adores laying right where everyone wants to walk. Boo (on the right) is our "little bitty kitty one." Both cats are adorable and fun, though Zip tends to be a little more passive, where Boo is the great house protector.

Sidney & Ludwig

Sidney is my precocious 4 year old peace face lovebird, who does do a little bit of talking, but mostly just likes to scold Ludwig (right). Ludwig is about 2 years old and knows only how to whistle and say "What what what?" Both of them are really funny when they are out because they each like to perch on the curtain valances and argue like a little married couple. No damage, just a lot of peeping and squawking.

Ziggy

Ziggy is a 13 year old Timneh African Grey parrot and is very much my "child." He is super smart, but very demanding, which makes dealing with him about as challenging as raising a 2 year old human being. He speaks very very well, with at least 90 words and more sounds than I can keep track of. His favorite things to say are "C'mere," "Peek-a-boo," Hello," "Goodnight," and "Meow." He has at least 10 different raspberries/farts, 5 burps/belches, and about 15 different cat meows he does constantly. He imitates my voice saying various things and loves to make the fart noises and then say "Whew!" to my mother when she walks in the room. I am SO not going to elaborate on that one for my own safety.

Amato

Amato is almost 3 years old, and I am afraid I may not have him for too much longer. Unfortunately, rodents never live too much longer than 3 to 4 years. Amato has been a total joy, very sweet, never biting, but very neurotic and fun to watch. He loves berry yogurt drops, which he will take from my fingers if I offer them. Ziggy enjoys going over to the book case where Amato's cage is and knocking on it with his beak and saying "C'mere" to wake him up during the day. Usually, Amato just looks over at him for a moment and then goes back to sleep.

Daschel & Bo

Daschel (left) and Bo (right) are my parent's kitties. Daschel is pretty special little tiger tabby, I think. He's about 4 years old and probably one of the sweetest cats I have ever known. He loves to cuddle on cold nights and is the master of his outdoor realm. Bo is a sweet little elderly chocolate point Siamese who rivals Daschel for the outdoor realm and has a very deep meow that could scare the living daylights out off you if you did not know he was in the room.
